We carry out all vehicle checks and standard services as set out in the Mini Service Booklet. The full service package is dependent on vehicle and mileage as per Mini’s specifications.
The most modern Mini’s have Condition Based Servicing (CBS), which means the car monitors itself and lets you know when and what it servicing needs are. Pre CBS Mini’s use the Service Interval Indicator (SII), which monitors specific usage and driving conditions and gives you plentry of warning when maintenance is required.
Mini now has Condition Based Service technology. This means your Mini only receives attention when it needs it, saving you both time and money. CBS sensors monitor the condition of parts such as spark plugs, filters, and brake pads as well as all operating fluids.
Other works carried out at every visit include diagnostic interrogation, check indicator and warning lights on instrument cluster and reset CBS display as well as checking and verifying any control messages.
Engine Oil Service
- Change engine oil and oil filter
- Check handbrake operation
- Micro filter, Air filter and fuel filter replaced periodically
- Spark plugs replaced periodically for petrol models
Vehicle Check
- Diagnosis quick test • Check body for corrosion and damage
- Check tyres, steering and shock absorbers • Check coolant and fluid levels
- Check electrical systems including battery and headlights
Brake Fluid
- Replace brake fluid every two years
- Replacement brake fluid reduces corrosion of ABS components and steel pistons as well as maintaining braking performance
Front Brakes
- Clean brakes
- Replace brake pads and wear sensors if necessary
- Replace brake discs if worn to recommended change point
Rear Brakes
- Clean brakes
- Replace brake pads and wear sensors if necessary
- Replace brake discs if worn to recommended change point
Annual MOT
- Statutory inspection for vehicles three years and older
- Annual check comprising of over 150 safety-related items
- Emission system test, headlights, brakes, suspension, wheels/tyres
The Mini Service Interval Indicator monitors specific usage and driving conditions and gives you plenty of warning when maintenance is required. The Service Interval Indicator counts down the mileage until your next service and shows you the information you need to know on your dashboard display. Once the service is carried out our technicians will reset the indicator and then you’ll be ready to go again.
Oil Service
Change engine oil and oil filter • Replace micro filter/pollen filter for heater/air conditioning • Check thickness of front and rear brake pads • Check handbrake condition, travel and adjust.
Inspection I
In addition to the Oil Service content: • Safety checks including lighting, electrical systems, steering and braking components • Check for roadworthiness including tyres, battery, coolant and fluid levels and additional vehicle checks • Replace air filter element (diesel models)
Inspection II
Replace spark plugs (petrol models) • Replace air filter element (diesel models) • Replace Poly V belt
Coolant Change
Coolant renewed every four years • Approved anti-freezing and anti-corrosive agents provide optimum functionality of the cooling systems. They reduce the freezing point in colder months and prevent boiling of the coolant in warmer months
Brake Pads/Discs Replacement
Wearable components within brakes are maintained to ensure high braking performance and safety • Clean brakes and replace brake pads • Check surface and thickness of brake discs, replace if necessary
